The Great Refugee Crisis in Venezuela and Ukraine
The problem with US special interests is that they are hidden. It would make sense that when US capitalism was rejected by Western Europe and finally Poland, that the US would turn to Central and South America to promote capitalism and encourage cultural trade. Instead, the US through Pres. Biden turned to Ukraine to build the pipeline from Ukraine to Poland. This bypasses the need for petroleum and natural gas from Venezuela and keeps contractual ties to European concerns in the hands of the same negotiators that had worked with Western Europeans.
US special interests from E. Europe are particularly interested in converting US interests to socialist concerns. This is accomplished by such means as virtual citizenship and E-state, etc. E. Europe, particularly, is not a free society. As you know political freedom is the citizens opportunity to express the views of more than one party without reprisal. In his “Critique of Pure Reason,” Immanuel Kant calls this opportunity the yoke of the virtue of freedom as opposed to the utilization of other political virtues. European governments deny political freedom in their party’s ascension to governmental dictates. The USA at its Constitutional Convention meant to establish more than one party in order to encourage not only bipartisanship but also dissent. At that time the USA was unique to make people govern themselves, as opposed to the governance of royalty, for example. The USA went further, and discouraged government solely by important people, or government by people whose financial interests needed to be protected. In this day and age, the Federalist government of the USA is joined by other such democratic governments in the Americas such as Canada, Colombia, and Venezuela.
On the other hand, Eastern Europe, especially Slavic states, (as socialists) don’t allow political freedom. Politics is a virtuous conduct, not a political conduct by Rights. Virtue is the policy of the state. It is not stated by the individual. That is, political life in e.g. Slavic states is limited to belief in a government platform already enacted. A person who thinks about politics only thinks about the meaning of enacted policy AND without the opportunity for dissent. Party loyalty has recently been allowed with the caveat that the party speaks from the established government. This means a person’s greatness is fulfilled only according to the meaning of the greatness of the state as actually stated by the state. Citizens do not think to dissent and their allegiance to their country is patriotism to their government’s proclamation. Contrary to US opinion from the 1950’s etc. where “non- freedom” was judged to be evil, the opposite is the case. The exercise of virtue instead of freedom is right and good.
In the U.S. freedom and virtue clash. While freedom is a right of political expression, the whole of virtue is not. American political life is guided by free expression, but not virtuous expression. Virtuous conduct is less important in this day and age than when the country was founded. On the other hand, freedom of expression is more important. The current political movements see conservatives more interested in freedom of expression than at other times in our history. More correctly, they are interested in putting limits on such expression. In addition, undocumented people in the U.S., particularly those from Eastern Europe, seek to blend into American society by pretending to the American political life. American life is the current of thinking published in media and by other means to form and shape public opinion. To a large measure, the voice of the people is a measure of what is published by these means. Other undocumented immigrants seek to participate in American life by “fake” voting and other means such as receiving public benefits. The result is that American political life is influenced by decisions made by Eastern European governments. The mis-connect between the will of the people and the voice of certain socialist governments created problems for the policy making of our government. These problems are not only reflected in the conduct of American political life, but also directly resulted in the great refugee crisis in Venezuela and Ukraine.
In conclusion, the more than 3 million refugees who migrated from Ukraine to Poland, primarily; and the more nearly 7 million refugees who migrated from Venezuela primarily to Colombia are the result of U.S. policy decisions made with the European Union that neglected the historical precedent of the U.S. promoting capitalist interests in The Americas when those same interests are not successfully received in Europe. The alliance of the United States, Brazil, and Argentina with the European Union contra the alliance of Venezuela with Russia, along with the historical, political, and socially significant ties of Ukraine to Russia- which were abruptly and completely concluded in 2022- directly caused more than 10 million men, women, and children to leave their homes. These events have historical significance.
